DAY TWO ... (after a slight delay)

A minor set back came into play with our timeline on this project.

When planning out this build with the customer,e decided that a must have option was the custom color supercharger unit. After a short discussion he decided on color matching to the factory Arancio Borealis exterior paint. With such a specific color, and the fact that it will sit within close proximity and visibility of the body, close would never be good enough. After a few samples, and a couple test pieces, we have an identical color match and the detail work is near flawless.

    Take a look for yourself:

Once we were confident with the color work, we were able to get back underway with the installation.

Since the system is what we consider "direct bolt on", it's a pretty straight forward install, albeit time consuming.

So far we've go the factory intake manifold and fueling system removed. We started at the back of the motor and mounted the new pulley brackets and tensioner, we've mounted our new radiators, the blower mounting plate, the blower unit itself, fuel rail and injectors.

We probably have about 5 hours of work left in the engine bay, and then we can button everything back up and possibly get the car back on the dyno by tomorrow afternoon.

    Stay tuned!
