How many gears in manual corsa or sport the Huracan (I have a rear wheel drive '17) will downshift if you hold the downshift paddle down for a bit longer?

I see in 'Strada' it will only downshift
1 gear no matter how long you hold it down, but in sport or corsa it seems to throw you all the way down to 1st or 2nd sometimes even if you are in 5th or 6th and don't decrease your speed or rpm. Never seen a car that does that???

It will down shift to the most optimal gear base on speed / engine load etc

It will scare you the first time it happens and you will feel the engine is being over-revved but don't worry the ECU will not allow it

Makes sense on paper but I'd bet dollars to doughnuts you couldn't get my car to go to 3rd or 4th out of 6th no matter what you tried and rpm or speed variance.

It will either go 1 gear on a normal downshift paddle press, but if you hold at all it is flying into 1st or 2nd.
I've tried it a number of times in both sport or corsa. Am I the only one??

I need to go to dealer and test drive another one to see if it does the same thing. I don't have comparison.

I just tried it on the upshift at 20 mph and it put me from 2nd to 7th there also.

It also does the same in 'auto' mode in 'sport' and 'corsa'


Much safer to test your car on the upshift and what you see the car does the same thing on the downshift unless I have something wrong with mine. Very odd.
