Replacing windshield
So... I got a rock chip on my windshield a couple weeeks ago. Real small and barely noticeable. I attempted to fix it via a windshield repair kit, and a small amount of pressure caused the chip to become a legitimate spider web crack. Almost instantly.
Needless to say, I need a new windshield.
Anyone have experience replacing this? Is OEM the only route?
Also, do u know if this is a commonly stocked item? And pricing?
Much thanks in advance.

I used one of those repair kits once, worked surprisingly well, you must have really been pressing. I doubt you'll find a 3rd party windshield, not to mention why would you use non OE. Call your dealer for pricing (I'm guessing a few $K), and I'd STRONGLY suggest clearplex ASAP.

Had mine replaced three weeks ago. Took 3 weeks to get the windshield to the dealership. Mine was covered by insurance so not sure of total cost but I was told cost for glass was around 3k. Good luck.
