How much speed am I sacrificing getting a Spyder?

    Hi guys,
I'm in a position to buy my first Lamborghini and it's obviously going to be a Huracan. Is the Spyder significantly slower than the Coupe? Talking about the 4WD. Living in Miami the Spyder would be somewhat ideal but I'm one of those performance freaks that just loves knowing I'm the fastest one on the road.

Wait for the Spyder Performante and you'll be the fastest on the road.

The Performante is going to be epic.

That said, there will ALWAYS be someone faster than you...

Thanks guys. I'm really sold on getting a Spyder, living in Miami and never having owned a convertible I just really want to try it. I just have a friend with a Stingray and I just couldn't stand it if he could keep up

Are you going to be driving the coupe or Spyder on the track regularly? Is that where most of your activity will be? If not, then don't worry about the difference in speed because the vast, vast majority of time, unless you are at the top end, you won't notice it from regular use. I have both right now and I enjoy them both. In fact, I tend to have a bit for fun in the Spyder than the coupe. And as TTBear said, not matter what yopu choose, there will always be someone that is faster than you.

You can always go with the Spyder RWD and then let a tuner unlock the 580 barrier with an OBD flash tool. That gives the extra horses the 610 has (plus 14-18hp more) and the car is lighter then the AWD version. Off the line the AWD will be faster due to the lack of tracktion of RWD cars.

In either car you can eat the fish everytime

Very few cars on the street will beat a Huracan 610 LP ,either Coupe or Spyder.I live in Palm Beach have never had any car even challenge me ,people know how fast the Huracans are bone stock. 10.53 @ 131 Mph in the Quarter Mile At Palm Beach Speedway with 1.60 60 Foot....Spyder will run very close to this...I am a Coupe Guy ,buy agreed,a Spyder would be Excellent in South Fla...Either way you are good...

I think I just realized how ridiculous I sound. I need a Huracan Spyder in my life!

Worrying about being fastest is silly, there will always be much cheaper cars like highly modded GT-R's or Honda Civic's that will beat Huracan, but are those the cars you want to drive? Even stock the Huracan is still one of the fastest cars on the street, especially from 0-60. With all the use of carbon fiber in Huracan I doubt the Spyder is much slower than coupe
