No Buttons on Right Side of Steering Wheel?

Spent a lot of time trying to learn car today, figured out a bunch of stuff but what I couldn't do is find average fuel consumption? I found current fuel consumption. So I spent time with manual which really didnt help me. Then I noticed my car doesnt have the buttons on right hand side of wheel that the book shows? Is it because of that or am I just doinf something wrong? Also disappointed no Homelink on my 2015. But otherwise loving car

I hope I stll have all in the brain:

    • You have Info 1 and 2. 1 is for trip with current consumption and average for the trip. It goes to zero if the car is parked for more than 2 hrs. 2 is long term information with the average fuel consumption until you reset it. You are using the three buttons on the left side of the steering wheel for sitching through all modes.
    • you have no cruise control, therefore no buttons there. Available from '16 models.
    • no buttons under the sun shade for Homelink ?

Yea I did a bunch of switching on those three buttons, got to where it showed Current Fuel Consumption Right above Speed settings but nothing for Average Consumption. My book shows those buttons but they show for things like resetting Average Consumption. Only buttons I have our for map lights.

Page 70 (Spyder manual), press UP when the consumption is shown to change from average to current consumption and back. When you start the engine and average is displayed press and hold the Menu button to reset the value.

Thanks, that worked but it shows as gallons per/hour. Kind of useless? Miles per gallon would be much better

Scott, this also is explained in the manual very well. I also had km/l and wanted to have l/100km. Hint: you can also change the Language there ...

LOL, gallons/hour is for when you're in PARK or NEUTRAL.

Yea but he said I could only get average right when I'm starting car? I am so confused spent a lot of time reading manual and not find anything. The book tells me to press car button and select "Car Systems", I press that car button but "Car Systems" doesn't show up. Just says "Warning Settings" "Driver Assist" and "Service and Checks". From reading manual looks like I'm misinforming other things also like "instrument cluster". Really could use some help to see if I'm doing it wrong or car does not have?

He's world AND the manual is FULL of mistakes. You can get tank average in Trip 2 while you are moving.
