I agree with spraying from the front but nonetheless you still water and soap spot that overtime look less and less attractive. You can always get the engine bay professionally detailed again, but the simple step I take keeps it looking showroom new.

Hahaha
I think there is a bit of confusion, here (likely mostly on my part). The original post asked how to wash the transparent engine BAY.
I took this to mean not only the glass engine cover, but also the engine BAY, thus my answer.
Of course, you can clean the glass cover with a glass cleaner. It's glass
What I was trying to say, was that there's no problem with getting water in the engine bay itself - I wash the engine bay out almost every time I wash the car, and mine continues to look perfect.__________________________________________________

Guys, it's not an iPhone, FFS.
Don't be afraid to use water.
Invest in powerful Stihl leaf blower, that's what I did.
I use it after every wash and it works wonders, especially on the wheels and the hexagon exterior accents.

When I wash mine with the power spray the water & all gets in there which is 100% fine it's made to get water in there from rain & everything else. Then once it all dries I clean the inside small window & the inside & out bonnet window with some nice glass cleaner to clean them & get rid of the new water spots from the wash. The bam..Your all good to go.
