Unlocking the full 610hp in an LP580-2

Hey guys, I'm new to the forum here. I'm taking delivery of an LP580-2 this month and was wondering if there has been talk of anyone unlocking the LP580-2 engine to 610hp? I've heard the decrease in horsepower in the LP580-2 is all software-based. Please let me know, and whether or not this move would be advisable! Thanks.

We will have a LP580-2 here on our DynoJet next week and will report back with our results.

While everything does point towards Lamborghini reducing the power through software, we still want have our calibration team read out the stock ECU and do a full evaluation on any possible hardware differences as well.

We currently offer a Stage ONE software tune for the LP610-4 which offers an additional 25-30whp and 15-20 ft/lbs of torque.
At the very least we'd like to bring the LP580-2 back to par with the stock LP610-4, but may even be able to do a bit better.

MSRP on the Stage ONE Software is currently $2,895.

For those who don't already know, we offer a full 100% credit of the software purchase price towards any new order for our VF800 Supercharger System within 6-months of the original purchase.

This is a great way to wet your feet with VF Engineering software, before you take the plunge to 800+ supercharged horsepower!

Unlocking the full 610hp in an LP580-2

@vf, What do you think is the performance gain with the factory race exhaust? Which supposedly adds about 30 Hp.

My 580 has arrived. I too would be curious to know if the Race Exhaust adds 30hp.

I am told that all 2016s now come with sport exhaust as standard. Not sure though if this applies to the 580. Anyone know coz the dealer doesn't?

I bought a pair of BMC filters that I will be putting in this week. Anyone know what that would add by itself?

Im also told that there is an Intake (basically a wide smooth tube with no air turbulence) from Reid Performance that can add 13hp? Sounds generous some pictures below.

What do you all reckon? They don't look the best construction appears that the air flow sensor is taped on? Anyone used one?

If you add all this up in theory an exhaust, bmc & intake pipe gets you over the 610.....without any tuning or warranty issues?

Guys forgive my ignorance but please comment which Im sure will help "constpapa" and others curious to bump up the 580 horsepower.

We're getting gains on the 610 that are 30+ HP so it should be no issue whatsoever to get a 580 to 610 power levels or even more. Our Huracan Tuning retails for $2795.00 but during the month of April we are offering it to Huracan Talk members for $2295.00

If anyone is interested in doing before and after dynos on their LP580 we could offer an even better deal in exchange for the independent testing!!!

I'm not sure what the factory race exhaust does in terms of gains, as I understood it I thought the factory said the race exhaust added 40 Ft-Lbs of torque but never quoted a HP #.

Our race exhaust, which is in stock and ready to ship at a significantly lower price than the Lamborghini Race Exhaust, made 29WHP on a Mustang Dyno.

I already have the race exhaust installed, the brochure says 5 % gain. My question is do any of the aftermarket ecu tune offer ADDITIONAL gains with this exhaust. Thanks.

Well my car has the RSC Race exhaust on it which makes near identical power to the Lamborghini race exhaust, and we made an additional 23whp on my car on a mustang dyno with our ECU Flash.

If you want to do a baseline first, then have us tune it, if you are unsatisfied with the tune within 30 days we will refund you.

How would this work, we have the mail the Ecu back and forth?
