Value Prediction Huracan
Hi All,
New to the forum and have been really thinking about moving towards a Huracan. I tend to buy older cars, which have maintained value but curious to know how you guys think the Huracan will hold up.
I am looking at a 2015 8,000kms for about 270,000 CAD - It has all options except for the LDS. Mixed reviews on that, dont think its a big deal for me.
Any estimate if you think the Huracan will hold value? The other option is a 12c but with all the variants coming out I dont think the 12c will retain its value. I am already getting the Huracan about 50-80k discount from a new. so curious if it will maintain for about 1-2 years before I move into an Aventador (lets see).
12C Spider (2013: 220k
458 Italia (2011): 250k
Aventador (2012): 400k
2016 Huracan: 290k (starting)

Welcome to the forum!
I personally don't think the Huracan is going to maintain its value over two years - it is Lamborghini's "volume" model, and there are quite a few on the market, even in Canada.
Where are you seeing an 8000km 2015 for $270,000? That would be a pretty good buy right now. I do think dealers are asking WAY too much for used Huracans in Canada right now - the majority of them are essentially asking full retail (after taking off documentation fees, freight/PDI - both of which are only paid once, anyways).
That said, with the Canadian dollar in the shitter compared to the US, there is virtually NO option to import a used Huracan, so used prices here may well be buoyed, somewhat.
I can just barely afford the Huracan myself, but bought, assuming fully that I would have to take at least a small pill when selling. There really isn't any way it will maintain its value fully for two years. I would say in two years, used ones will be hovering around $210,000.
Buy it, and enjoy it. There are no medals for being the richest man in the graveyard

I hear you, there are a lot esp in Montreal that have been sitting for months now, I got a sense that there is the option to sway the ask prices a bit. The aged inventory should move in my favor, I dont know why dealers are so determined to cling on to 2015 when 2016 allocations are being set.
The 2015 was $260 brand new plus 30-40k in options you are at 300. So I guess you are right a lot are hovering around the 300 mark. Generally speaking the prices seem inflated to begin with in Canada. For example the 12Cs are still extremly high and havent dipped despite 570s coming out (yes, there is a slight compromise between the two, but I expected 12c to drop.)
With respect to USDCAD, I noticed that when CAD weakens, prices are fast to jump, when CAD strengthens prices are slow to adjust (or barely do)

That is because the Dealers/I mean Stealers/Thiefs want to get car on the cheap and sell Exotic for big money. They feel like they need to make like 50,000.00 US Dollars selling a used Exotic.Find a private owner and get your Huracan from a real owner and it will work out for both of you.
No matter how much you pay,the good thing is the Huracan is a Excellent machine...

maybe with no spec, I had every option except electric steering, my car was £ 225,000.......dealer bought it back for £173,000.......the guy who bought it had a right result, I got out now as there only going to drop further now the 2wd is out as soon spyder, most people wont see the difference in the 2wd to the 4 on the street........lambo is going down the maclaren route. that production line cant afford to stop, so what we'll do is discount cars to dealers, they then discount to new customers '' hey presto'' the 2nd hand market falls like a rock!! limit supply and all's good......aventadors holding its own pretty good still, until I guess the face lift next year then who will want yesterdays supercar !! sorry if I sound a little bitter but this cars to good to loose this sort of $$££ and it doesn't matter how rich you are people don't want to chuck tons of cash away , more so with uncertain world issues possibly looming ???

That is my perspective as well. With the RWD and sypder coming out, I can only expect it to drop further. The Canadian market is inflated, and car's are just not selling (+200,000 CAD). I think an Aventador will still command a premium given its road presence. Ideally I was looking for an Aventador at about 350k cad, but so far having trouble as even 2012 are around
The one I made an offer on had every spec except electric steering which I am not keen on anyways and lacked the glass engine cover.
