the first Kilometer/Miles
Hallo
i am a new owner of the Huracan and i am from Germany. Yesterday i got my new car and i ask my lamborghini dealer what is necessary to know for the engine in the first kilometers/miles. He says to me that i can drive how i want and its not necessary to pay attention to the engine or the gearbox.
Today, i look into my handbook and i read that is very necessary to pay attention in the first 1500 kilometers to the engine and gearbox. Don't drive over 6000/min and not fullspeed. okay, i drive only some sec 290 KMH and the most time unter 6000/min ....
But my question is now, who is telling the truth ? my lamborghini dealer or the manual... What do you do the first Kilometer/miles ???
best regards

Teoretically modern cars do not need a break in period anymore, so the dealer did not lied you, the manual is a bit more conservative. I think it's more important not to drive your car at high speed without being properly warmed.
Btw. Post up some pics

What you want to do is vary the rev range, don't drive it at a constant rev for a long period for the first few hundred miles.

Both top answers correct,be easy on brakes for first 100 miles and get the oil changed after about 500 miles and you are good to go.I spoke to many factory Lamborghini Tects in the pits who were working on the race Huracans at Super Tufero at Sebring and the also said they cars are ready to run hard right from the factory.Mine has about 600 miles and I run it hard and have not had any problems .Have Fun...I was just in Germany,I sure wish I had my H their...
