Guys, be patient. Countach were once going for $80k, I remember! Now they're all over $200k. I'm not insinuating Huracan will be that rare and have this exact curve. But I am saying I suspect the 580-2 and R8 will actually help 610 flatten and hold. Multiple lesser products on the same platform will actually serve to bolster 610 prices. Since the R8 and 580-2 are already huge value at $190k-$200k they will likely hold value better. Also, LP560 will find a floor of $130k (first gen Gallardo creeping up already). Hence I bet the Huracan will stabilize in the $220k range for base low sticker cars or high mileage cars or boring colors. For them to be $200k or less would be too close to new R8, 580-2 or even Gallardo LP560. So the plethora of products will help our 610 over the long haul. My theory at least.
Its all speculation. If depreciation the was top priority I would have gone Ford GT on high side and GTR on the low side! I don't buy cars like these primarily motivated by fiscal prudence ;-).
If we collectively have regrets we will all create a self-fulfilling prophecy. Just enjoy your car because YOU picked and you could have literally selected almost ANY car on the market. I wanted the best looking car to my eye - taught, aggressive, square stance, ultra-short overhangs, beast of a NA engine and nasty sound. Having owned enough crazy high hp cars this Huracan still feels bonkers rabid fast, yet is refined enough for business calls on the highway. I am blown away with the versatility of this car. Its like an S8 crossed with an F1 car.15' Huracan, Brixton Forged, Fabspeed exhaust, Novitec springs

This is an interesting discussion....I didn't think of the fact that VW is likely dumping these cars to cover their losses. However, right now I am less concerned about the money I am losing on my car and more concerned with my losses on wall street. ;-)

I am one of those guys....but the way I look at it, I am having a fling with a hot Italian Mistress...its going to cost me but man is it fun. As you can see by my signature I do have a few Porsches in my stable and frankly if it is really about an investment and not the joy, we should be buying 50s or 60s era Porsches. You will definitely see appreciation. But again, you really have to look at why you are buying the car. For me there was really no rational reason other than I loved the sound of the engine especially during a downshift. Riding with my 14 year old we are kids all over again everytime the engine gurgles. Worth every penny for me. Lets face it, if you are buying these cars nothing really makes sense. Or am I not looking at this right?

all the above is right..........I just think most of didn't expect to get hit so hard ! I planned maybe 30k in the first year, theres a level of comfortable, but 50 is to much, you add the extra income tax and nat insurance to that in the uk, your looking at a 70k plus hit !! i love this car but in England it seems no one wants to pay anything for them, even if you have top spec its going to the trade for around 165, private approx. 180ish.......we all have different levels of wealth, but theres a little bit of look after your customers and they will look after you!! as for waiting for it to recover i personally aren't going to wait 10 years........shame , at least i enjoyed while it was in my life! fantastic car

I do agree with your point on looking after your customers....Ferrari is king at this and even Porsche does a really good job. While I may end up with a Ferrari one day, I really struggle with the fact that I first have to buy a used one from the dealer to be part of the "family" so you can buy a new one. Then you get kicked out of the family if you flip your car in less than 6 months. It just seems so firggin childish but I guess it works so who am I to judge.

One more thing. Losses are only realized when you liquidate. Don't ever do that LOL.
No seriously, for the first few months I kept watching the market just out of curiosity and to confirm how good a deal I got. Not exactly the best way to enjoy your new toy. How about we NOT watch the market and also NOT sell our car because lets face it. There really isn't a better alternative on the market anyhow and the car will forever be cool (see public reaction to 1st gen Gallardo for proof). Then perhaps we will at least be doing our part to creating the more positive self fulfilling prophecy of our cars holding value better ;-)15' Huracan, Brixton Forged, Fabspeed exhaust, Novitec springs
