GTR fans dissing Lamborghini
Just wondering how the GTR performs against a Huracan or Aventador. So far I have only driven a Huracan so I vividely remember how that car feels like. I've raced against GTRs before and just watching one speed past me was pretty insane that I still remember it.
Some pro skater Nyjah Huston just bought a black Aventador and so many people commenting on his social media are hating on him. There are the typical haters who are just jealous and will hate on whatever this guy does. Then there are the people who are dissing him saying he should have bought a GTR instead of an Aventador because its cheaper and performs just as well. Well I have not driven a GTR yet so I have no idea if they compete well on Lamborghini. I have just seen how fast they are from the outside. But seems like some GTR fans like to diss on exotic cars for wasting their money.
But then I can't really be sure if any of those naysayers have driven both cars because most haters following Nyjah are probably most likely kids or teens who probably can't even rent an exotic. So I have no idea if their facts of saying a GTR is better than a Lamborghini is valid. It would have been cool if GTR would have been redesigned to look more like an exotic like the R8 rather than being a sports sedan, then it have best of both worlds of being a cheap fast car and have the sexy look of an exotic. But I still think GTRs are cool cars, once you see one accelerate pass you, you will know it's a fast car even if you doubted it's appearance at first.
Some guy told me R8s are slow and don't really feel like Lambos. He told me if you just want a fast cheap car, GTR is the way to go. BUt if you do have the money, say $700k, how do you decide if you're gonna get the GTR and save or go all out and get the Lambo?

I have a GTR. Also have a Huracan on order. There is no comparison between the two. Probably should not even be mentioned in the same sentence. The H is a way better vehicle. BTW, my modded GTR will be faster than my stock H, but it is silly to compare the two. Speed can be had with $.

I owned two gtr (2009 and 2012 version) before 2010 it was clearly the best supercar on the market even the 911 turbo 997 was not good as a gtr was and the big reason it was the best is that the gtr was the first supercar with double clutch gearbox and that's a very big difference especially if you compare to the egear from lambo which was very late compare to the nissan.
But now with the huracan it is an other world compare to the gtr in term of performance/pleasure/efficiency, but it is normal because the conception of the gtr is now 8year old! I can't wait to see how will be the next generation of gtr and i am almost sure that i will buy one.....and keep my huracan offcourse :-)

Another league for sure. I guess some Honda owners could say the same thing about GTR, you can make a Honda as fast as a GTR for a fraction of the cost. I guess everyone got the idea, this story will never end...

Guys don't be so bad about the gtr, ok redmark it is not a supercar but it is a very nice performance car with great features and the final price is a great value.
again when she was presented in 2008 and untill 2010 (458 italia with double clutch technology) she was just the best sports car on the market.
After 2010, the owners just made stage 2-3 etc to be in the same league than new supercar generation (mclaren, 911 turbo pdk, 458 speciale etc) in term of performance.
I remember that people like
Jay Leno (tv show man)
Larry Ellison (oracle)
Lewis Hamilton (f1 driver)
Sebastien Loeb (wrc driver)
Bruno Senna (f1 driver)
Just own or owned a gtr, why? Just because it was a great car and the price consideration is just secondary for this people i know also Ellison just used the gtr to go to his office every day and he says in an interview that it was the best daily supercar he never drove.
Somebody who own maybe 50/60 cars (few years ago enzo and carrera gt was in his collection and a gtr aswell) told me one day:
Sports Cars is like french red vine, it is not espacially the most expensive one who is the best one.
