Aventador to Huracan. Downgrade or Upgrade?

I got the chance last week to catch up with an old friend from Dortmund that owns an 2013 Aventador. Next year he wants to change his car and i told him that the Huracan is a very good option. He thinks that having a H after you own an Aventador is an downgrade. The funny thing is that we had this conversation in his Aventador and i could not notice once again that the H is much better and modern car than the Aventador, for me is definately an upgrade. In the end he agreed to test a Huracan.
What do you think? Is the H and upgrade or downgrade if you are coming from an Aventador.

About money yes it is a downgrade for sure but about:
    -driving Pleasure
    -speed
    -modernity
    -usabity
    -design
    -technology

    Huracan is an upgrade yes
You can compare it like french red vine, the most expensive one isn't the best taste all the time

Nice comparison! I think you are right, only from a price perspective the H is an downgrade, on every other aspect is an upgrade.

The Aventador is a dated car compared to the Huracan. That is way I did not buy one. When they update the Aventador with the Huracans Tect and Interior that is when I will buy one.Right Now the Huracan is the car to have out of all of them/Period...

As for most people, all they know it is a Lamborghini ...

While on the topic of Aventadors and Huracans, is it true that the Aventador has been selling and holding its value better than the Huracan? I've heard from a few friends that Huracan sales have been pretty sluggish. I'm considering getting a Huracan to replace my 458, but with slow sales means faster depreciation, and that worries me when I want to sell the car.

Does 458 retain value better than Huracan?

Yes. When the 458 was launched, there were actually used cars in the US that were selling over MSRP for some time. The 458 has proven to be an extremely popular car, I'd probably even say it's one of if not the best-selling supercar in the world. But with the Huracan, seeing how the company is giving substantial discounts on new and less-than-year-old used cars, it worries me what the depreciation will be like in 2-3 years.

With the introduction of 488, I would presume that the value of 458 has depreciated in The States? In Canada, Price on used 458 still stiff.

Its innevitable, still, there is one particularity in this case: 488 is turbo and many think that a supercar should have a proper NA engine (myself included), thats why the 458 keeps its value a bit better than expected.
