Ok ill give that a go.
What about the bottom base of the seat.. slanted down or tilted up ?

Slanted up slightly. You shouldn't feel like you are sliding forward under hard braking. If you do the the seat bottom is too flat or tilted down too much. Seat should cradle you slightly. Ultimately however, if you are just cruising around, comfort is most important. If it feels better to you to have a more flatter seat bottom then roll with it!
