    So far its been great-- excellent speed in up shift and down. The TCU is intuitive and holds the gears well in Auto Mode (S+) plus down shifts properly as I need this in crappy LA traffic at times. The 458 auto mode (I barely used is terrible. I takes a full blow mash to get it to jump down 3 gears vs the Merc or Huracan = slow. But then who drives a 458 in auto mode The Sport in the Huracan is great IMHO- down shifts bark and pop and it really responds to my throttle pressure when using A mode.

    If it's the same as in my previous '13 CL63 AMG ... it's an absolute disaster. Slow and hesitant. One of the lowest point of the car.
    My wife's joke was, 5 minutes after parking the car in the driveway:
    Honey, look, the car finally downshifted to the 2nd gear.

    You had the MCT planetary automatic... The DCT wasn't on that car. The MCT was good for heavy tq modding as its threshold is circa 1000 lb/ft and after a tune with shift points throttle remapping in sport plus, it was endurable (Ive had 5 MCT trannys and still have one with the Black Series). The ECU/TCU clearly is the defining factor.
