Factory to USA transport
I was told my Giallo Orion Huracan will be finished in about 5 days and has a VIN. Anybody know if there is a tracking method to follow the car? Does anyone know how they trasnport the cars from the factory to the port of entry in Baltimore and how long this process takes? Thank you.

The only way to track it is to know the name of the ship and you can check it on marinetraffic.com
Your dealer offered you the option of air shipping?

No. I wouldn't know what transport ship they would use and have no idea how efficient the company is in bring the cars to port. I would assume they accumulate a certain number of built cars before shipping the lot. Just looking for a timeframe for delivery. Dealer estimates are pure guesswork.

You're right, they sit at outgoing port until there's a ship and/or enough ready to go. Definitely consider air freight. My car finished assembly on Saturday, and it was at the dealer (west coast) 3 days later. Ship could have taken 3-4 weeks, or possibly longer.

Air freight is not worth the extra $10K , your dealers computer portal will give the est day of delivery to the port here in u.s. .....then you can add about a week to that to get to your delivering dealer.

Actually I was quoted 6K for air freight, but since the car has left the factory, and being transported to port, i opted to just be patient and keep the 6K. The Lambo US customer service reps in Virginia were great in assisting their customers.

A lot of the cars are shipped on Wallenius & Wilhelmsen. Go to their website (see below) and type in your VIN in the "Cargo ID" box and see what shows up. To see all the cars they're transported in the last month or so, just type in the first part of a generic Lamborghini VIN (ZHWUC1Z).
