True, unless if you live in a country or state without snow, in that case the H can do the DD job perfectly. I decided to reply to your post to inform you that in some countries that have less snow they use another chemical, not salt that won't eat your car alive, it's most probably a price matter to them, salt is obviously much cheaper.
