    Personally I think going matte via wrap is a cop out. Pretty easy to tell it from the real thing. Just my 2¢.

    Well, yeah, sort of. I mean, you can tell the difference if you know what you're looking for... and that's fine of course. However, the real benefit of the wrap is not that it matches perfectly against real matte paint. It's that matte paint is soooooo fragile and easily damaged that getting a similar look with matte clear PPF is totally worth it.

    We have plenty of clients that wrap matte Xpel over matte paint. Does the matte paint look better? Maybe. Some would say, "absolutely"... the problem is that if you actually drive the car, it doesn't look better for very long. We've had a number of matte paint Lamborghinis come through here with no protection and just a few hundred miles on the clock and you can pick out those rock chips even more than on gloss paint.
