How hard is it to remove the ECU?

Not too hard at all! They're located on either side of the engine behind the panels. I normally do it one ECU at a time (I recommend making a friend help to hold the "hood" haha). You want to remove the hood strut to allow access to removing each side panel. The ECU's sit right behind each panel, so once removed you unplug and are able to pull them out.
