Need some advice guys
Hi guys, I was wondering if you can give some advice.....
A little about me, my name is Jason, and I am 25 y/o. I recently lost my father to cancer, which leads me here for advice. Before my dad got sick, he had a passion for cars, and was close to choosing his first exotic car, he had it narrowed down between the Huracan, or a McLaren. After struggling for a while, feeling hopeless on how I could make him proud, I decided to use the money I got to live out his dream. I would consider myself a car guy, but really never looked into an exotic as I would never have been able to afford one. I have been trying to do as much research as I can, and figured maybe you guy could help. I have never driven a "manual" car before, and I know these cars now have gone to paddle shifters, along with having an auto mode. I do not plan on tracking the car, just mainly for around the town driving, car shows, etc. Which car would be best for me? I would like to learn the paddle shifters, so if one car is easier than another, please let me know. Any tips/info you can give me on the 570s, 650s, and huracan, would be greatly appreciated. I am assuming you guys will lean toeards the Huracan, so I will post this on the Mclaren forum as well, to get their insight. Thank you in advance!!!

I'm sorry to hear about your father. RIP
Both the Mac and Huracan have double clutch gearboxes which also feature a full auto mode.
If you leave it in auto and on strada mode the Huracan feels like any other car in town, you can easily drive it daily.
In manual mode you only need to change gears, obviously you do not have a clutch pedal. After just one drive you will already get used with the manual mode too.
My personal advice would be to buy a Huracan, there are some very good deals out there.
Good luck and keep us posted!

Sorry to hear about your father...I have lost many to that battle as well.
Without knowing how much he left you...if its an exorbitant amount, cool, go and buy an exotic, and buy a Lamborghini because I'm sure thats what your Dad had in his mind when he thought exotic...
BUT, if you're blowing the whole thing on a car, Id suggest you wait. I would think your Father would be more proud had you used that money wisely to amass an even larger fortune, affording you exotics for the rest of your life
