I realize service books are different but in the EU service book it says 1 year or 15.000 km, thats about 9k miles too. But it's good that you got the official answer.

I'd change the oil once per year anyway. But that's just me.

That is a waste of time, money, and oil. It's not 1975, anymore.

Looks like the EU service book disagrees with u. It's basically the same naturally aspirated V10 from the 2004 Gallardo only refined. In my 3.5 years of ownership of that engine I changed it once annually. How many quarts of oil does the Huracan burn per every 2,000 miles? Guessing it's similar to the predecessor model.

I guess I still live in 1975.. I would never go that long on any oil period. I don't want the initial break in metal floating around in the engine that long..My first oil change will be at 500 miles, then every 1500 after. That's the way I do all my cars except my muscle cars that get serviced once a year. Those cars only get driven maybe 100 miles a year. My track/ race cars get serviced after every event.

    Highly agree!

    1975, or 2014 doesn't really matter... same break-in period.

Bet Rubuntu has never even owned a lambo before. Oil is the lifeline of the engine. It's best to preserve it. I purchased my Maserati new and manual says no service for 2 years or 12.5k but I changed oil before then anyway.
