I'm on my second Huracan, and I love it.

But I'm starting to wonder whether cars like this will become dinosaurs more quickly than any of us would have predicted, at which point the market will dry up and even running could become infeasible. I know this sounds dramatic.

Here in my home state there are starting to be proposals to ban sale of gasoline-powered vehicles in 2030. That's (only) 10 years away, but it portends an accelerating shift away from gasoline. What happens when gas stations and mechanics start closing up shop; when the same policies driving proposals like the one I mentioned also cause ever-increasing taxes and registration fees on gas-powered cars; etc. I can easily imagine a downward spiral and very rapid extinction of our dinosaurs.

This is making me hesitant to invest in any more premium cars like Huracans because my standard approach to them has assumed a robust marketplace when I'm ready to move on to the next one (or get out entirely).

Anyone else have concerns?
