Self Installing VF Engineering HEX TUNE - Its Nerve Racking...
So I finally installed the VF Engineering HEX tune on my '16 Huracan 610-4 and couldn't be happier with the result.
However, doing it yourself is a nervous experience.
I documented the process, so if anyone else decides to do this themselves in the future, they'll know what to expect.
Feel free to ask me any questions about the process.

Good Job! VF walked me through the process over the phone so was not bad , also must of been good timing since I got my tuned file a couple hours after I sent them the screen shot. And one other thing that I didnt see you do or at least mention it, and that is to hook up a battery charger before starting process. You don't want battery going dead during download. I found the tune made a nice difference but of course aftrer time you will find yourself wanting more, that's when it's time for the bigger package

yes. i submitted my file a little late and night, and didnt end up installing it till i freed up with time a few days later. Not really the fault of VF, but just wanted to tailor peoples expectations that its not a 'get the box and install it immediately' type of deal.
and yes....the tune is just a gateway drug. I can already feel myself wanting that SC kit.IG: @MATTATTACK009

Thanks for the review Matt.
Glad you're enjoying the software!
We'll be adding a note to the installation instructions to
give a heads up to first timers that you will see a LOT of
notifications pop up on the digital display during flashing,
so that they are not alarmed as some of the notifications
can be daunting.
It is completely normal and occurs as the programming
works it's way through the many different modules within
the ECU. Our software for this model is a full data area
re-write, and the same scenario occurs when the ECU is
updated at the dealership.
As a side note, software is typically turned around within
24 hours, and in many cases, will actually be same day if
business hours allow for it.
All OBDII Port Flashable software has a 30-day money
back guarantee, OR, a full 100% credit towards the cost
of the supercharger system if you decide to upgrade within
the next 12 months. This makes software a low risk purchase,
and some would say a "gateway drug" to 800+ horsepower!!!

I have done software updates on most my rides - in fact the last one was my 911 TTS...and I load and unload it all the time. The lights freaking out is normal behavior on all of them...and you get used to it. I have not yet had an issue in any car due to software uploads...

Sometimes the radiator fans will also come on when the ECU is being flashed.
