I Need Moral Support: Rain Driving
I had the flu the week before last. Was traveling all last week. I get home and its been raining ever since. So I'm going on 3 weeks without driving the Huracan.
Should I pull it out in the wet drizzle? I will admit sometimes rain is fun. Feels like an F1 driver - at least in my head LOL. But then I feel guilty sometimes. Like I'm getting dirt in all sorts of crevices. You guys drive in the rain?15' Huracan, Brixton Forged, Fabspeed exhaust, Novitec springs

Depends on the rain type. If your talking full on pouring puddles all over maybe not so much of course. But just normal rain or sprinkles man go ahead & enjoy that beast. Just don't push it to hard remember it can get slick. Plus you get to take a pic of it all wet with rain drops all over it. Great looking cars always look AMAZING in the rain for some reason lol.
It's been raining here & is supposed to some more..I don't get mine back from he shop until Tuesday & if it's raining still..Im still hitting some asphalt"Go look at yourself in the mirror & say "I'm going to win, I'm going to do this & no one will stop me...Not even you" #GrindOrDie

Quick question for you. I was going to make a post about it but since you mentioned it here. I noticed the car comes with that battery charger thing in the trunk & my shop said it's to put that on if the car is not being driven for a while to keep the battery from draining. How much time goes by where you should do that? I never had to with my old r8 or anything & it sat still for a LONG time one winter. Just want to make sure Im doing everything rite here. So if say a week goes by & its been sitting are you supposed to put that charger on the battery? Also how do you do that?"Go look at yourself in the mirror & say "I'm going to win, I'm going to do this & no one will stop me...Not even you" #GrindOrDie

Absolutely, drive it in the rain. Enjoy it when you can - life's too short, and besides, it just means washing the car - rain does not bring any detriment to the car!
Regarding the battery tender - it's super easy - the dealer may have already installed the cabling to the terminals on the battery, and if so, all you have to do is plug the battery into the wall socket first and then plug the male/female adapter in, which should be dangling out of the battery compartment in the trunk. (Do not plug the tender into the battery first, as this puts the tender into "test mode", to read the condition/state of charge for the battery.
If the cabling isn't already installed, it's super easy. Open the trunk, then open the battery compartment - it's the rectangular door at the rear of the trunk, with two circular buttons on it. There are already terminals for attaching the cable, on the positive and negative battery terminals for you to screw the cabling onto. On mine, they had to clip out a small section of the O-rings, in order to get them on, but that is very easily done with a set of tin snips (cut out just enough so the O-ring can clear the small post on the terminal - it's easy - I am far from mechanically-minded, and could do this in about 10 minutes). Screw the +ve and -ve cables onto their respective posts, run the cable out of the battery compartment, close the compartment.
You can plug the battery tender into the car any time - lots of people believe that if you do, you extend the life of the battery considerably!
I can take pics of mine if you want this evening, but it is simplicity in itself to do!__________________________________________________

I do not use a battery tender,I am sure they are good.I have Black and Becker Smart Battery Charger and I just hook it up once a week and it top off the battery in about a half a hour.It works excellent and do it on all my cars I do not drive a lot.Plus it,let me mess with the cars, which I like.I do not like to have a charger hooked to a battery when I am not around,if some thing happens, like a fire or over heat, you are screwed, esp.if car is in your house garage.
As for driving the H in the rain,it is no big deal, but be careful, like any HP car,you can lose it easy..
Make SURE all your Electronics and Lights are off before you turn the charger on and and hook it up correct...
