Most Powerful DCT Huracan in the World

Its official. The current most powerful DCT Huracan in the world produces 1527whp, thanks to a great team put together consisting of Heffner Performance, SSP Performance and SJL Custom Auto. Both SSP and ourselves have had developments being produced for this transmission since approx November 2014. Heffner performance contacted us regarding transmission upgrades in May 2015. In October, the prototype was put to work. This same prototype is what still is being used in this car till this day.

A few weeks ago when this car was put to the 1/4 mile test for the first time, it was able to achieve a 9.12s 163mph pass with a less than impressive 60ft of 1.7s. These passes were performed on the stock plastic intake manifold, stock wheels and tires.

A week later Heffner returned to the track with 19" CCW lightweight wheels and Mickey Thompson Drag Radials on the rear. The car propelled into the 8s, making it the fastest Huracan in the world. The official time was 8.97s at 165.47mph and still a disappointing 60ft of 1.66s. The traction control equipped in this car has been far from cooperative. As these hurdles are overcome, this car will continue to go faster and faster.

The car has yet to return back to the strip for results of the new produced power level. Anyones guess as to what the result might be could be possible. This platform has proven that with the right setup, it has ultimate supercar capabilities. Hats off to Lamborghini for producing such an impressive vehicle. Theres only more to come. Stay tuned

Welcome to the forum! Thats very impressing, i mean i know there are even 2000whp+ TT applications on this platform already but they are running a seq gearbox.

This particular TT kit it's a built system or bolt on system? I presume that those numbers were obtained on race gas. What are the pump gas numbers?

These extreme builds have their own market but i think your DCT upgrade would be ideal for those that want a solid 1000whp TT setup on pump gas imo

Correct, these figures are based on a fully built engine running race gas. The turbo kit is the bolt on version meaning it could be fitted to a stock engine car but with less power output for obvious reasons. In order to obtain a reliable 1000whp DCT Huracan our Spec S clutch would need to be used at a minimum. That clutch has already been purchased by many customers of ours across the globe with great success. It can be obtained from the SSP Performance website.

I think its safe to say that a reliable 1000whp TT Huracan application on pump gas should have a built engine. I'm sure you can get this number with a bolt on setup too but the wear on the engine would be significant.
Still, great to hear that for your DCT 1000whp is easily manageable.
What i would like to know is if after your upgrade the gearbox will keep it's stock characteristics? I mean it shifts as fast and smooth as the oem?

1000whp figure would be more of a built engine figure in my books as well. Some have claimed to make this kind of power on stock engines but only time will tell how reliable those setups will turn out to be.

As for DCT driveability characteristics, there have been no significant differences. Most have reported that the car drives and shifts smoother and faster than it had before the new clutch. Our R&D was extensive. We looked at many different friction alternatives to create the best overall result. But it goes further than just friction materials, it also plays into how the rest of the transmission is affected by these alternatives. Close attention is played to trans temps as well. I myself have been modifying DCT transmissions for over 10 years, Kris (SSP) even longer. We have extensive amounts of trial and error in all platforms that are currently offered by SSP. This knowledge isn't something gained overnight.

We are confident in the product produced thus far, but were not done. More offerings such as external additional coolers, gear sets, and other in house proprietary upgrades are being produced as we speak. We are trying to appeal to all sides of the spectrum, from Drag and Half Mile applications to Closed Course and Track setups as well. We feel that driveability and reliability should never be sacrificed, some would disagree. An upgrade should be just that, an Upgrade.
