Huracan Ordered! Advice from current owners needed!

Hey Guys, I have ordered a new 610-4 in Grigio Titas (Matte), and it should be coming in March. A question for any current owners is how long should you allow the engine to run in? How many miles? As in before you can go as fast as you like

Lots of debate for sure, regarding proper break-in procedures for new cars. I don't think any harm will come from driving the car as you wish from the very beginning, but there MAY be something to be GAINED from a well planned and followed break-in.

    This is an interesting thread:

The Optimal Break-In Procedure Thread ... - Lamborghini Forum

I have had my car for two months, and as it is the middle of winter here, it is up on the lift, and in storage, with 80 km on it

When spring comes, I will do my best to follow the break-in procedure as outlined in the LamboTalk thread. I am thinking it will be difficult to keep it down for THAT long.... haha.

I don't necessarily agree with the durations of that thread, the general procedures are fine.
The one error made is when he states that you must change your brake fluid yearly. That's is absolutely incorrect. Brake fluid should be checked for water content. There is a simple device that many shops have that will check the water content in the brake fluid to determine if it needs to be changed. I used to have a Porsche Spyder that I tracked regularly that I had put in Motul 600 and it lasted for 30,000 miles and countless track days over 3 years and the brake fluid did not need changing (Motul was in it for 2 years when I sold it and it tested as new and its color was clean and clear).
Everyone driver and every car has different usage of brakes that will affect the fluid.
Most important thing is to use high quality fluid. I use Motul 600 or 660.
