Radar Detector Solutions
I have been a long time V1 user for my Porsches and I am considering getting an integrated solution (like escort with shifters) but find there is limited information on the forums on options. Definitely not as rich with information as is the case for Porsche which is awesome for my other cars. Currently I am not using anything (which is a bad idea) because my V1 connector is too big to plug into the cig socket under the console armrest. Also, have not seen any pics of solutions that are used to integrate the wire for V1. With all the Huracans out there, I have to believe you are all using detectors. Can you please describe your solutions and post some pics. Thanks

I remember that more members installed radar detectors, i'm sure they can chime in. With other words it definately can be done.

Hardwire the V1 so you don't have the big cord and if you want laser jammers, check out Blinder. Their new system has very small sensors and a nice overall unit (unless you're good with working on cars, professional installation required).

I haven't hardwired a V1 on a Huracan. But on the Murci (and most other cars), you can run the wires under the headliner, down the a-pillar and into the fuse box. Generally, I get a 50ft section of telephone cord from amazon and trim it down for what I need.
FYI: green & black are your power and ground, may be reversed depending on which side of the cord you use.
I don't have the wiring diagram for the rear-view mirror, but that would be the easiest way to tap into power and not have to run much wire.

I hard wired my escort Max2 into my Huracan. I hooked it into the cabin lights above the mirror. Took all of 15 minutes to do it. It's not switched, always on, but on the escort it shuts off after a preset time of no detected motion so it doesn't really matter. Wiring it through the a pillar to a switched circuit was not worth the effort for me at the time.

Passport 9500ci Pro, Escort Live and Radar Mirror (Red LED conversion), end of story IMO. I have this set up in every car. Still debating the rear sensors as they are no longer included, I have heard mixed opinions if needed.
With te 9500ci; nothing to hang on the windshield, actual laser shifting, GPS advantage, hardware that matches a modern car...leave the V1 in the 1980's Yes they still work for the basics...but they are nowhere near as advance as the newer stuff.

I have owned the 9500ci and it's identical twin the Beltronics STiR Plus. They both have impeccable performance on all radar signals, and the fact that they are invisible to RDD's (Radar Detector Detectors) is amazing.
The performance of the new Laser Jammers is much better than the ZR-3 and ZR-4's, but still not that great compared to Blinder and the leader in the market ALP.
Personally if you want to have the best of all worlds get a Beltronics STiR Plus with an ALP, 2 heads in front and 1 in rear (if you want, laser hits in the rear are very rare). I had this setup in my Jaguar F-Type R. I have an ALP in a bag in my garage that I need to install, just have not had the time to do it, I may go with a STiR+ as well vs. my Max2 which is awesome, but not quite sure yet. The 9500ci is due for an upgrade and I feel like now with directional capabilities available to all (V1 patent expired) and mapping they are going to come out with something cool so I will wait.

Thanks guys. This is super useful. Ferruccio, your solution is where I want to ultimately land but I agree with abedh on the fact that there is likely going to be a and upgrade on the 9500 and I feel like waiting for that. This is the problem with integrated solutions...you are kind of stuck with the technology. However, I am in the same place as you abedh... I almost want to wait a bit, maybe until this summer but want a temporary fix in the meantime So your solution sounds good. Just a question. Why did you could into cabin lights and not the garage door opener wiring that way it would be switched power?

Great post How does the ALP compare to the Laser Pro shifters they now switched too with the 9500ci?
I told myself Id wait the last 2 years too for an upgrade...but its nowhere in sight, nothing @ SEMA or CES, so you may be waiting another year or 2 before we finally see the upgrade. In the meantime I keep cracking out the 9500ci build
