    TACHYMETER, something wrong?

    TACHYMETER, something wrong?
    Hi every body,
I was on the autobahn last night and was at a controlled speed of 135km/h so just cruising.
I checked my gps and the speed was 125km/h at this moment.

10km/h difference at this speed is ok you think?
I just try at (much) higher speed later and the difference is almost 15/20km/h between tachymeter and gps...

    What do you think?

GPS on what, your phone? Ya, in sure that's WAY more accurate. Thats not to say most speedo aren't off a bit, and they generally read high. Better to read high than low.

FYI, Tachometer reads RPM not speed.

Just as an FYI... In every Lambo I've ever driven the speedo was 8 - 10 % higher than the reading off the radar detector. It makes me think they do this on purpose....

The warranty runs out faster, that way.

How so? You're confusing speedometer with odometer. I'm surprised how many car-illiterate people there are here.

    Refresher:

    speedometer - speed
    odometer - distance
    tachometer - rpm

I'd venture ... not many could explain how an internal combustion engine operates.

10% is right, but this is not just available for Lambo, every car out there is set this way.

If the speedometer is linked with the odo rubuntu is actually right. Still, on sport cars very few end their warranty due to mileage, 95% of owners due the time of ownership, so it doesn't really matters anyway.

Oups sorry i mean speedometer not tachymeter.
Very surprise of you comment, every supercar i owned didn't haved that difference at high speed than the huracan.
I mean 260km/h in the huracan is a real 243km/h this is a big lie for me, at 300km/h my previous GTR was at 295km/h real.
If i have good memory my 12c and 458 was around 6/7km/h difference at 300km/h.
Maybe lambo thought that is good to increase that for the driver who go slow and think that he goes fast ahahah
