Vorsteiner Wing and Visibility

Hi,

I'm interested in purchasing a Vorsteiner wing for my 2016 580-2. They offer two wings which are the Novara and the Verona. I like both and at this point my choice is completely driven by which wing will least obstruct rear visibility. The Novara is mounted higher than the Verona. Does anyone with either of these wings have any feedback on how the model you own affects visibility?

The goose neck one mounts very low and will not have any rear visibility issues

Hey Sciki did you pick which wing yet? Im on the same boat as you right now also haha between those 2 Vorsteiner wings i was thinking of getting the Novara wing but the other wing looks pretty awesome to and its lower haha so much options to choose

Yes, the Vorsteiner Verona wing arrived just yesterday. Unfortunately it is defective and I have to send it back. The holes in the wing were not drilled in the correct location at the factory. The end result is that the upright is at an angle and doesn't sit flat on the Huracan's decklid. When one upright is flat on the decklid, the other is misaligned by almost 1/4". You can see this in the images. I put a lot of time into trying to figure out if it was me doing something wrong or the wing. However experimenting with all the variables and discussions with Vorsteiner and Wheels Boutique where I purchased it I now know the wing is defective. Hopefully they will quickly get me a replacement! Attachment 5204

lol damn that is probably one of the worst feelings to have when buying something you been waiting for while doing all the research and everything else you did just to find out its a no go and gotta wait longer haha. So this wing you gotta drill into your car or does it come with the decklid?

The reason for the misalignment is the holes in the wing do not line up with the threaded holes in the upright. There is a shallow pocket on the top of the wing that receives the flange on the end of the upright. See attached pic. The fit of the upright flange into this pocket is tight and leaves no room for adjustment. You can see in the pic that they tried to elongate the holes at the factory but couldn't do it enough. So when the countersunk bolt head align with the countersunk holes on the bottom of the wing, the only way they can go in is to cause the upright to tilt out of the pocket on the top of the wing hence the upright not sitting flat on the deck lid. Vorsteiner confirmed this should not be the case and that the uprights should sit flat on the decklid. I asked if I should elongate the holes/countersink in the wing further but they said no as it would void the warranty. They said my only option is to go back to Wheels Boutique to coordinate getting a replacement. Wheels Boutique does not have these in stock and it is going to have to be shipped from Vorsteiner so it would have been nice if Vorsteiner would just simply send the replacement since it was a quality control issue from their end. This is my first experience with Vorsteiner so I have no idea if this is just a fluke or if defects are common.

There is a carbon decklid available from Vorstenier but I elected not to get this. So yes, I will need to drill the Lambo decklid.
