Project Huracan - Regal Autosport, UK
    PART 6

Wow! It's been a while. With the UK being so cold and salty (ha) we haven't really had an oppertunity to take our Supercharged Huracan out. However, that all changed with Supercar Driver's Secret Donnington Charity Event on the 31st of March.

Super Car Driver if you're not familiar with already, they setup unique events throughout the UK for Supercar Owners to attend and enjoy their Supercar. If you're based in the UK and own a Huracan, get involved! Being a track day, this was the perfect oppertunity to take our Huracan out on track.

But first... We had a little track day preperation to do.

Ever since we first took our Supercharged Huracan out on track, we noticed that the brake pedal feel was very soft, requiring a lot of pedal effort to get any braking power. To solve this we deiced to upgrade both the brake fluid and brake lines, two parts which contribute hugely to pedal feel yet won't increase NVH or wear.

The first problem is the stock brake fluid, the stock brake fluid is very compressible vs the Motul RBF660 we are used to and has a lower boiling point. The compressibility results in a pedal that is more unresponsive than we'd like and the low boiling point has a danger of the fluid boiling with heat, resulting in a sudden loss of braking performance.

The second problem is the stock rubber brake lines. With high pedal inputs, the stock brake lines can "balloon". To eliminate this, the Stainless Steel Braided Brake Lines are installed which resist ballooning significantly more which results in more of the pedal effort being transmitted through to the brakes, ultimately improving pedal feel.

This upgrade can be installed to all Huracan models, including the Performante. If you're heading out on the track this year, this should be part of your upgrade package or even maintenance to maxmise enjoyment!

With these two combined upgrades, at Donnington @supercardriver we found that our Supercharged Huracan had much-improved brake performance, inspiring confidence to brake later lap after lap.

Fast forward to the Supercar Driver event at Donnington. The event had a truly insane collection of Supercars, Hypercars and Racecars in attendence. From classic to modern day.

We've dropped in some of our highlights below, however head over to our Flickr account to enjoy the full collection of images from the day by clicking here. We also have a video from the day which includes a Super Trofeo shooting out some flames and the awesome downshift crackles from the Akrapovic Titanium Exhaust we have installed.

Image highlights in a seperate post below (forum limit of 20)

The only question that remains, is which is your favorite car from the day? Let us know below
